　　About the job:

　　The Lead Pressman reproduces by offset press those forms, brochures and other printing required to support user units,

　　including ancillary operations such as collating, stapling, punching, padding, binding, folding, cutting, etc

　　What you'll do:

　　Ensure cost efficiency in terms of paper, ink, solutions, etc.

　　Ensures quality and quantity control of printed forms, brochures, invitations, envelopes, newsletters and other printed matter as assigned or as requisitioned by the user unit or storeroom.

　　Meets deadlines with little supervision.

　　Operates the following printing equipment: RMGT 790 Offset 4-color press, Ryobi 512 and 1650 offset presses, OKI C931E digital press

　　Produces plates from digital platemaker.

　　Uses knowledge and judgment to set up and adjusts schedule of projects to meet changing deadlines.

　　Cleans plates, blanket and rollers when each job is finished.

　　Changes chemicals and cleans platemaker regularly.

　　Puts completed work on cart to be sent for binding or shipping.

　　Maintains and movement of supplies and stock for re-order.

　　Performs preventative maintenance on all machines and trouble shoots jams and other problems calling for contract maintenance assistance.

　　Interprets printing requisitions and performs work to be done.

　　What we're looking for:

　　Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma. Minimum of two years technical/vocational training in offset press operation and regular bindery operations.

　　Minimum of five years experience in offset printing & bindery.

　　Effective Communication Skills

　　Exhibit self-motivating qualities and evidence of ability to learn on the job.

　　Knowledge and use of all offset presses, platemaker and bindery equipment in shop.

　　Ability to distinguish and identify supplies listed for each machine.

　　Knowledge of various inks & types, weight and size of paper to be used

　　Knowledge and operation of imposition software (Xitron Sierra), Cron-ECRM platemaker, and Titanium plate processor

　　Must also be able to maintain and troubleshoot all previously mentioned equipment.
