　　In this role, not only will you be working for an industry leader in the maritime industry, but you will also have the opportunity to accelerate your career in the skilled trades. Prior shipyard experience is a plus but is not required.

　　Competitive hourly pay (commensurate with experience) and per diem available where applicable (calculated based on 5 day work week).

　　Overtime throughout fleet season (Jan-Mar+) may be required.

　　Candidates should be available for all shifts.

　　To become a Fitter with our client, you will need to successfully pass a skills assessment using torches to cut steel (using various techniques for straight and bevel cuts) - inclusive of tack welding.

　　Successful candidates will have:

　　Minimum 2 years’ experience steel fitting in an industrial environment; including the frequent use of grinders and torches

　　Level of comfort working in small spaces throughout the ship (kneeling, laying on back, etc.)

　　Ability to work outdoors in the elements (inclusive of all types of weather)

　　Basic blueprint reading skills

　　Ability to lift/pull/carry 50 lbs through shift – inclusive of climbing ladders and/or stairs

　　All candidates are required to be fitted for respirators (must be clean shaven) and pass other general health and pulmonary requirements.

　　Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
