In 401(k) Operations, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of client instructions received from clients, agents, Third Party Administrators, or internal partners. You will liaise with internal global custody operations departments for problem resolution and respond to external clients, depositories, and agents as needed. You will also handle telephone and email inquiries and escalations from clients as well as provide status updates. A basic understanding of 401(k) Processes and ERISA regulations is a plus.
Job responsibilities:
Monitoring work queues and cash activity, providing required client engagement for resolution
Handling approval of complex processing and servicing of transactions
May have direct customer contact
Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for operations team processes and procedures
Ensuring all incoming inquiries and subsequent resolution is executed according to established service levels
Processing, reconciling, and/or approving all cash movement daily, ensuring all exception management is reported and resolved
Reconciling, researching, and resolving any cash discrepancies, overdrafts, and long balances
Ensuring all client, risk, and performance related metrics are provided according to established service levels
Ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are followed, including maintaining relevant and current procedures, risk items are escalated appropriately, and documents are filed and archived according to corporate policy.
Attend all internal meetings to review issues/ideas or concerns the team may have
Provide resource coverage for all colleagues as needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor degree required
2+ years' experience working knowledge of financial industry
ERISA, pension, payroll tax, and Accounting principles a plus
2+ years customer service skills
Proven leadership experience in a deadline driven environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience monitoring internal and external market cash deadlines a plus
Experience monitoring internal and external security cut-off times a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to review and approve specific data elements with strong attention to detail
Participate in operations working group and support projects that arise
