　　The STEM Student Trainee Program allows high school studen t s with STEM experience to work with Caterpillar during the summer .

　　Responsibilities:

　　High School students considered for engineering positions should have a basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing principles, programming/coding, electronics, CAD, and/or Creo. All positions require working in a team environment and demonstrating quality customer service. Responsibilities vary from job to job but may include analysis and testing; project work on research and development; virtual reality and simulation technologies; and creating/revising graphics.

　　Considerations include education or experience in the engineering field. In addition, successful performance requires sound judgment, motivation, effective interaction with others, and the ability to handle an array of responsibilities.

　　These positions are open to high school rising junior/senior students and 2024 high school graduates only .

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Must Be 16 years of age by start of program

　　Must have and maintain a 3.0 / 4.0 cumulative GPA

　　Must be a full-time student attending a high school within reasonable driving distance ( 30 miles one way) to the Peoria and Aurora Facilities

　　Must have reliable transportation

　　Must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 8–10-week summer program

　　Must have access to reliable, high-speed internet to work remotely ( if requ ired by hiring manager )

　　Top Candidates will also have

　　Participation in STEM programs like FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge

　　Demonstrated leadership

　　These are Full-time temporary openings in the Peoria, Pontiac, Aurora & Mossville, IL area. Relocation is not available.
