About Principal Architect - Risk Technology

  Step into the role of a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies.

  As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, Cross Risk Calculation Technology team , you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

  Job responsibilities

  Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies

  Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities

  Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design

  Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert

  Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

  Develops and documents blueprints for technology teams to follow

  Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience

  Advanced experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise

  Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

  Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

  Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines

  Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives

  Ability to quickly come up to speed on new technical and functional problem areas

  Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  Experience working with large, globally diverse organizations

  Strong communication and organizational skills

  Experience with large interconnected systems and grid compute platforms

  Experience with Market, Credit or Liquidity Risk functions

  We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. For those in eligible roles, we offer discretionary incentive compensation which may be awarded in recognition of firm performance and individual achievements and contributions.
