JOB REQUIREMENTS: Utilizes a variety of equipment to layout andconstruct patterns and associated parts used to form sand molds andcores. Works with numerous materials in the construction process, metal,plastics, and wood to produce patterns and associated parts to meetcustomer-supplied drawings by performing the following tasks. Determinesproper construction of equipment for feasibility of production. Lays outcurrent design on paper and/or lay out template board. Assemblesconstructed material by the use of supplied fasteners. Performmeasurement layout of constructed pattern and parts so as to confirmdrawing requirements. Aligns and mounts parts to preferred board and orboxes for production requirements. Adds all gating and risers to mountedpattern. Prepares protection on patterns and parts by the way of paintsand lacquers. Builds gauges and templates which are used to aidmanufacturing methods. Builds, molds and prototypes patterns and moldsto aid in construction of equipment.
