　　Job Summary

　　Responsible for day-to-day balancing of cash for clinics and hospitals throughout the enterprise as well as within Patient Financial Services. Research and identify posting errors, correcting for the balancing process. Collaborate with Finance and Information Technology to utilize reports for the balancing process. Partner with clinics and posting personnel to determine training needs in order to minimize errors. Identify credit card and electronic check payment items and work with vendor to correct any posting issues. Prepare daily deposit for health system. Research all variances from Finance to balance week-to-week or month-to-month closing transactions. Perform manual and electronic posting functions, including the creation of posting files for manual checks and the creation and management of all manual deposits. Research and identify missing payments and adjustments in Epic work queues. Able to exercise independent judgement related to researching and resolving any issues that may arise. Maintain an in-depth expertise of the CARS system. Serve as backup for Lead Payment Representative as needed. Assist in other duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

　　Minimum one year prior experience as a Payment Posting Representative or similar experience in a hospital accounts receivable area is required.
