Position Summary
The University of Denver is seeking a highly qualified and motivatedindividual to serve as the Women's Club Lacrosse Coach.Responsibilities include overseeing the development and administration of theclub team, providing quality coaching to student-athletes, while promotingthe values of sportsmanship and teamwork. This position includes practicesduring the week, games on the weekends and some travel.
This is a non-benefited part time position not to exceed 1,000 hours in acalendar year.
Essential Functions
Coaching and Training
Develop and implement effective training programs, practice sessions, andgame strategies specific to the assigned club sport.Provide skill instruction, guidance, and constructive feedback to enhanceindividual and team performance.Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes the personal andathletic development of student-athletes.
Team Management
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss team goals, expectations, andupcoming events.Coordinate practice schedules, facility reservations, and game schedulesin collaboration with the club sports office and executive board.Ensure compliance with University policies, rules, and regulations relatedto club sports.
Competition and Event Management
Attend competitions, matches, and tournaments with the team and providecoaching and support during games.Collaborate with the club sport exe cutive board to organize and execute clubsports events and fundraisers.
Student-Athlete Development
Foster a positive and respectful team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship,academic success, and personal growth.Serve as a mentor and advisor to student-athletes, providing guidance onbalancing academic and athletic commitments.Encourage and support student-athletes' participation in leadership andcommunity service opportunities.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records of team rosters, attendance, and performancestatistics.Assist with equipment inventory, maintenance, and procurement.Collaborate with the club sports office on fundraising initiatives, andcompliance with university policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Coaching experience in the specific club sport or a closely related sport.Knowledge of coaching techniques, strategies, and rules for the specificclub sport.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate andinspire student-athletes.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of student-athletes,coaches, and University staff.Familiarity with University club sports programs and the unique challenges andopportunities they present.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with coaching at a high school or collegiate level.
Work Schedule
The duration of this part-time position is from January 2024 to May 2024. Thisposition includes practices during the week, games on the weekends and sometravel.

Hourly Rate
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation rate that represents itsgood faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at thetime of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than theposted compensation rate. The salary offered to the selected candidate will bedetermined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selectedcandidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equityconsiderations, and available market information, but not based on acandidate's sex or any other protected status.
