JOB OVERVIEW– * Analyze and research goods and services to determine reasonable prices. * Research and collaborate with agency staff to obtain and maintain a working technical knowledge about goods and services in order to develop specifications and contract terms. * Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, to determine need for contract modification and recommend appropriate remedies for non-compliance. * Ensure compliance with laws, rules, policy, and processes related to procurement. * Prepare purchase orders, contracts, solicit bid and proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services for restrictive requirements. * Procure goods and services using the Formal Bids/Proposals as defined in the Procurement Rules and Methods policy’s level two delegation authority. * Perform accounts payable and/or receivable. * Process financial transactions such as travel vouchers and/or travel advance requests. * Check for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports, researching or auditing as needed. * Answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts. * Track financial documents such as receipts, bills, forms, and other records. * Perform routine reconciliations. * Adjusts entries to ledgers. * Identify and corrects routine posting errors. * Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data. * May prepare bank deposits.
