Registered Veterinary Technologist Team Lead, Emergency Team

　　The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre is currently welcoming a full-time Team Lead RVT to join our emergency team.

　　New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!

　　Surgical preparation, assisting, and patient recovery.

　　Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.

　　Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents

　　Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

　　Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions.

　　Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.

　　Other duties and responsibilities include:

　　Training and orientation for new team members,

　　Creating an equitable schedule for the team

　　Coordinating vacation coverage

　　Cross-training within the hospital departments,

　　Assist in performance management.

　　Involvement in patient treatments as necessary to support the ER team and overall hospital support.

　　Schedule: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with a schedule that can be flexible to meet your individual needs, our emergency department runs 24 hours a day/7 day a week, but the position does not necessarily need to encompass all shift hours. Typically, a 4x10 hour schedule is accommodated, filling in on the floor where required to assist.
