Vendor Management Consultant Works closely with business partners to assist in managing the Tier 1 vendor portfolio.
Partner and collaborate with business partners, and internal S&P staff to obtain and understand vendor requirements and strategy. Monitor Tier 1 vendor performance analytics to identify areas of opportunity and assure compliance with internal policies and contract requirements.
Compensation Minimum:$60,000 / year
Compensation Maximum:$99,000 / year

Job Level Summary
Works independently within job function under guidance from Vendor Management Advisor and within boundaries of category strategies.
May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives
Detail-oriented, ensuring the successful coordination of the ongoing vendor management activities with Tier 1 suppliers
Will multitask effectively as well as demonstrate analytical, research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Primary Accountabilities
Partner with Vendor Management Advisor and business partners to triage supplier related questions or concerns and track through resolution.
Active liaison between internal staff and suppliers on identifying and resolving problems and developing solutions.
Maintain tracking and oversight of issue through resolution, including any applicable action plans.
Identify areas of opportunity through vendor audits, tracking vendor issues, and monitoring SLA performance. Analyzes vendor trends to proactively assess opportunities for improvement.
Collect data to develop vendor scorecards and track performance. Work directly with vendors on areas needing resolution and monitor ongoing progress through regular status meetings. Provide status to direct business leader and internal staff.
Participate in the sourcing and procurement process including contract renewals for Tier 1 vendors.
Coordinates change requests and vendor documentation for Tier 1 vendors and ensure that all relevant parties have completed and approved their accountable tasks.
In partnership with internal staff, design and deliver support services to internal leaders including vendor management training, best practices, transition services and consulting.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
Moderate knowledge of sourcing practices including RFxs, contract negotiation, market intelligence.
Solid knowledge and understanding of supplier performance management techniques including managed service best practices and governance.
Demonstrated experience leading small to medium projects.
Solid knowledge and understanding of goods and services contract terms.
Solid knowledge and understanding of preparing reports, charts and presentations.
Demonstrated experience relationship building , working collaboratively, communicating effectively and using data to solve problems.
