　　Job Overview

　　Responsible for the planning and completion of surgical cases pertaining to specific specialties in the Operating Room. Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care collaboratively in accordance with his/her scope of nursing practice. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System. Works collaboratively with Charge Nurses on a daily basis to facilitate surgical cases and maintains/monitors supplies/equipment as they relate to their specialties.

　　Qualifications

　　Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related field and two to three years of previous work related experience required. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Successful completion of BLS, a department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, etc.
