Summary:
Content Strategy and Development (CS&D) provides the technical and operational information that customers and stakeholders need to do business with Mastercard. CS&D is committed to driving the business goals of Mastercard by maximizing the impact of content. We foster solutions to provide the right content, to the right stakeholders, in the right format, at the right time. We accomplish this goal by collaborating with business partners to understand customer needs and deliver timely, high-quality information in a wide range of media and languages.
Overview
This position involves supporting our global technical authoring teams that provide content to customers. The position involves serving as a system administrator for the applications CSD uses to author content. The role also includes researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing new enterprise-wide processes and technologies.

Role:
• Work with information architects to test new software features and customizations in our tools: Ixiasoft, Acrolinx, TAG, and Zoomin.
• Aid information architects to complete high-quality configuration projects in our tools and content, ensuring updates are made in accordance with the CS&D standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to our writers and our customers that consume the content.
• Author ad-hoc assignments in in DITA XML and markdown as well as assit in documenting general procedures for authoring, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Onboard new hires and perform user role maintenance.
• Assist other lead team member with Acrolinx, taxonomy, or template and tool configuration.
• Manage day-to-day work using ALM and Remedy or other tools.
• Assist with translations and serve as a point of contact for the translation vendor on day-to-day issues.

• Experience working as a technical writer or as an information architect that supports a technical documentation team.
• Technologically savvy, spearheading innovation through ingenuity, creativity, and thoughtful risks.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable to dynamic change and ambiguity, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to identify and implement process and strategy improvement opportunities with consideration for target audience, user experience product life cycle and documentation best practices.
• Team player that is able to interact and consult with writers to cultivate and expand partnerships.
• Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism, accountability, and empowerment to drive results.
• Ability to work independently including the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Familiar with API and DITA/XML and best practices with markups, tags, entitlements, and topic types.
• Familiar with authoring and publishing tools, such as Ixiasoft, oXygen, Acrolinx, SQL databases, Visual Studio Code, and DTDs.
• Familiar with taxonomy and localization/translation.
• Python script coding experience a plus.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
