Job Description
A Technical Data Writer is needed to support the Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) out of Ogden, UT.
This position will be responsible to lead and have direct oversight of all editing and technical writing for all LMTF data documentation.
This includes the design and development of new written documentation (or existing documentation revisions) and recording meeting minutes as required.
The technical writer will report directly to the LMTF Test Programs Manager while regularly working with lab personnel, management, and Air Force personnel.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a variety of technical documents including user Standard Operating Procedures, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, checklists, workflows, white papers, and job guides with the support and inputs of technical subject matter experts
material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
Edit test plans and test reports for grammatical accuracy and readability
Support programs by recording meeting minutes and compiling necessary action items
Basic Qualifications:
Expert in Microsoft Word, proficient in MS Power Point
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Ability to identify and correct formatting errors in MS Word
Format and write technical documentation with the use of a style guide, as well as input from subject matter experts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on technical documents for the Air Force or other DoD agencies
Experience working in a laboratory or industrial setting, communicating technical matter
Typical Experience Qualifications:
Experience Level: Experienced - Minimum 7 years of industry experienceEducation:

Pay Details: $46.66 to $60.63 per hour
