Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an onsite Systems Infrastructure Engineer II to join our Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate in Dallas, Texas. TEE is a multi-discipline organization responsible for contributing to the development of test solutions for all Raytheon products. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products including both lab engineering and factory production test systems.
The Systems Infrastructure Engineer II will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of our test solutions for multiple production programs. They will implement infrastructure best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget. The Systems Infrastructure Engineer II will employ excellent communication skills while directly supporting the Software and Infrastructure Section Manager and Team Lead in the execution of the department goals. They will also assist in the deployment of domain networks in an Engineering and Production environment. This will include hardware, computer, DUT-Interfacing, and system reporting to support the complete solution. Active directory manipulation with the deployment of Security controls. The successful candidate will have Windows and Linux Domain knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
Develop and maintain domain network test solutions and apply security and operating system patches to our deployed systems
Implement system engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget
Provide hands on support to domain network infrastructure integration and sustainment within an engineering lab environment
Effectively communicate technical information to project leads and in design review settings
Support the Section Manager and Team Lead in the execution of the HWEC AMP department goals
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Experience supporting system infrastructure
Experience with domain networking, or domain network administration, or domain network security
Experience with Windows and Windows Server
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Experience with virtual environments or Microsoft Security Solutions
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of legacy Windows environments (NT/2000/XP)
Knowledge and experience implementing IT Security Controls
Knowledge and experience in Network Attached Storage devices
Knowledge and experience in creating automation scripts via PowerShell, Perl, Python or a similar scripting language
Hands-on experience with Splunk for system monitoring and troubleshooting
Experience with Configuration Management tools
Working in a production environment
CompTIA Security
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to multi-task and manage schedules and priorities
Able to interface with persons of multiple disciplines and job functions including computer engineers, electrical engineers, program managers, technicians, and information security team members
Able to work in a team environment
Highly motivated self-starter

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
