Job Overview
This position is responsible for standard level work in systems analysis,design and applications programming for single and multiple informationsystems, software applications, architectures, data warehouses,databases, and data extraction and reporting. Duties include designing,planning, testing, implementing, maintenance, problem solving,documenting, and developing software code, standards, principles andpractices.Potential Specialty Areas: Informatica, PeopleSoft, Research DW, SharePoint

Qualifications
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree is required.EXPERIENCE - Minimum of three (3) years of related experience is required.EQUIVALENCY - Combination of post-high school education, job relatedcertification and/or related experience equivalent to seven (7) yearsmay be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

These examples do not include all of thefunctions which the employee may be expected to perform.Analyzes, designs, builds, modifies, implements, tests and debugsnew or existing software applications, architectures, databases, andsystems integration to automate business processes, as applicable.Prepares time lines, project plans and flow charts for the development orenhancement of new and existing software application programs.Gathers, analyzes and documents business and user requirements, functionalrequirements and data specifications.Designs, writes and documents technical specifications to design or redesigncomplex applications.Collaborates with applications staff and users of information systems toevaluate, plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintainapplication development efforts and/or reports. Works with applicationsstaff to translate and d cument user needs and system requirements into reportspecification and/or technical documents. Integrates data between multiplesystems for reporting as necessary.Collaborates with database tuning and configuring; developing backup andrecovery processes, repeatable methods to refresh non-productionenvironments from production, data life-cycle management, and systemupgrades. Writes stored procedures, packages, and functions.Recommends, develops and creates peripheral technologies and IT processes insupport of application platforms.Recommends, develops, documents and maintains software coding anddevelopment standards, principles and practices.Troubleshoots performance and system availability problems ensuring quality ofthe enterprise application and/or data warehouse.
