Job Title: Software Engineer (Senior)
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota
Pay Range: $60/hr - $90/hr
The client has an exciting opportunity within Information Technology. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Customer Identity & Application Security product team. You will join a talented, energetic team, making a measurable impact with the work you do every day. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, exceptional analytical problem-solving skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
You will:
• Provide technical expertise to design, prototype, refine, and implement solutions to solve complex problems and to achieve our strategy, while considering system capacity, limitations, performance, and desired outcomes.
• Remain current with new capabilities within the web technology space and make recommendations when appropriate for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, business subject matter experts, business analysts, quality assurance personnel, architects, functional leads, and technical leads from other disciplines to enhance alignment, standards, and best practices.
• Provide technical assistance and solutions to inquiries regarding complex errors and problems.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced software engineers.
• Perform technical reviews of code developed by other personnel.
• Participate in scheduled and unscheduled weekend/after-hours system maintenance and support and on-call duties when necessary.
Basic Qualifications (required)
• 8+ years of development experience within web technologies to include:
o Experience identifying scenarios to apply common design patterns
o Well-versed in interactive design principles and attention to technical and visual detail
o Proven development skills with Angular 4+, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and/or SASS
o Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of a development life cycle
• Proficient with implementing identity and access within custom applications utilizing OIDC and SAML2 Assertions
• Proven track record of successfully troubleshooting complex issues and willing to be member of on-call rotation
• Experience leading and mentoring developers in best practices
• Experience in an Agile team using the Scrum framework. Comfortable working with fast-paced collaborative teams.
Preferred Qualifications (desired)
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems or relevant experience
• Experience writing modular, decoupled, and scalable applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation of processes
• Experience in deploying, operating, and managing services in AWS or other cloud environment.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, such as Snyk or RAPID7
• Experience with Open-source Governance
