The Position
The Software Engineer as part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team is focused on automation, robotization, and digitization for the factory and service use. The key contribution is to define, create, validate, and implement solutions that improve productivity and throughput in line with the Industry 4.0+ principles. Besides the technical skills, the role also requires a high level of dedication, passion, and collaboration in the area of innovative problem solving. Handling customer expectations and satisfaction is needed for successful job execution.
Key responsibilities:
Designing alignment procedures for electron microscopes and their accessories
Inventing new methods and approaches of aligning and testing to increase factory and service productivity
Improving existing automatic algorithms to make them faster and more robust
Documentation of development work, creating unit and regression tests
Maintaining development tools and other technology in good shape
Fulfilling various tasks based on manager’s instructions
Ideas sharing and mentoring others where applicable
Requirements:
Typically requires a University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Strong in analytical thinking
1+ years of experience in SW development
Excellent knowledge C#
Knowledge of image processing algorithms
English knowledge B2 and above
Good interpersonal communication skills are required due to the high degree of interaction and collaboration across functional groups
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to balance work between development, maintenance and bug-fixing
Good understanding of software development processes and tools
Eligible for passport and able to travel
