About Software Development Engineer - Call Analytics, Amazon Connect

  Description

  The Call Analytics team at Amazon Connect delivers call insights using Amazon Machine Learning services to our customers. We work on high volume, complex call routing and integration with the Machine Learning and Generative AI services to bring insights that help our customers to deliver better user experience and efficient call handling. Our team owns the cloud services and corresponding AWS console experience that enable customers to route their calls to our service and configure the set of call recording and analytics capabilities. Our customer span across various industries like Call Centers, Securities Trading, Tax service providers, and Communication service providers. We look to provide the best easy to integrate call analytics service on the market by investing in easy integration with evolving machine learning capabilities across voice and video, increase insights using generative AI, and be globally available with lowest latency in generating insights for increased productivity.

  Key job responsibilities

  We are looking for a highly effective software development engineer that can make an immediate difference and help design and deliver systems while maintaining a constant customer focus. You will work with your peers, research scientists and product management team to tackle hard problems with a growing AWS service.

  A day in the life

  Work with peers on ongoing customer deliverables.

  Design upcoming capabilities, drive consensus across the tech and product teams.

  Look for endemic service deficiencies and solve them at scale.

  Mentor your peers.

  Hire new team members

  Santa Clara, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  Preferred Qualifications

  3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
