Job Description

Looking for an experienced software developer with a track record of developing and supporting complex software products and services. Responsibilities include developing machine learning features in the database kernel and database cloud services as well as supporting existing code. The scope covers both infrastructure and algorithm development with emphasis on creating highly performant implementations. An important aspect of the work is integrating machine learning/AI technology into cloud services. The Oracle Machine Learning group looks for candidates who have strong software development skills, background in databases, cloud services, knowledge of machine learning/AI, and a desire to work with state-of-the-art algorithms from both a theoretical and applied standpoint.

Skills required for the position include:

Strong C/C++, Java, Python skills Background in database technology, cloud services, knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL

Proven experience with the full development cycle (design, prototyping, development, testing, bug fixing, benchmarking, documentation) Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence is a big plus

The candidate will be part of a diverse team and would need good communication skills, and ability to work effectively with remote members of the team.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the design and development of database software. The work will involve collaboration with application groups to integrate the machine learning functionality in their software.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
