Thiel College Facilities seeks motivated and qualified candidates for the position of Skilled Maintenance personnel.
This full-time position performs various skilled and semi-skilled functions in the general repair and maintenance of grounds, vehicles, and campus buildings.
Qualifications:
Experience in multiple trades including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, groundskeeping, and vehicle/equipment repair and mechanics. Maintains a working knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, machinery, and equipment utilized in all areas of the physical plant. This position responds daily to work orders, emergency repairs, and campus departments/services. Operates college equipment and other off-road vehicles. Accountable for selected projects. The selected candidate will be required to perform other general maintenance duties as assigned. Thiel College Facilities is a team working environment.
Education and Experience:
Vocational or high school graduate or equivalent.
Physical requirements:
Fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, and manual dexterity. You may be required to lift, push, or pull up to 70 pounds. You may be required to crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods. Capable of climbing at moderate heights. Possible exposure to chemical, mechanical, or electrical hazards, dust, fumes, and odorous working conditions. You may be required to work outdoors in inclement weather.
The selected candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and background screen.
