The Client Service Transition Specialist is responsible for the transition of clients with medium to complex Managed Services engagements. Their role ranges from input to selling activities and service design, on-boarding and operational readiness validation through to the conclusion of early life support. Focus will always remain on achieving a successfully transitioned service to the agreed timeframe, costs and service outcomes.
Working at NTT
This role entails working closely with the Managed Services management/leadership team to understand the business objectives and managing the transition of the relevant initiatives into the Managed Services business, whilst ensuring that these are aligned with key measures to ensure achievement of overall goals of the client and NTT Ltd business whilst maintaining performance and effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive project plans and robust scoping for transition programmes.
Implement, run, govern and control transition projects / programmes from inception through to completion.
Manage client relationships. Establish positive relationships and constant communications with all internal stakeholders during a service transition project. Plan and facilitate engagement sessions with stakeholders in a service transition project.
Manage and mitigate service transition risks.
Manage client and internal escalations as per the standard NTT Ltd escalation processes.
Manage variance orders surfaced during service transition phase due to requirements mismatch and / or new requirements.
Report on transition execution against the contracted planning and identify any major issues.
Ensure handover for service execution and operational readiness validation has been successful.
Support new services through an Early-life-support model as required.
Ensure that all service transition-planning projects meet objectives and timing. Handover risk register to service operations team.
Assist with the continued development and improvement of the Transition function through lessons learned analysis and knowledge sharing.
Manage virtual teams to deliver the planned outcome for transition and transformation projects.
Manage thorough validation and testing of services provisioned as part of the transition.
Ensure the development and monitoring of a transition project dashboard that includes key metrics of success.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Full understanding of the NTT Ltd. services portfolio and capabilities.
Proven track record of medium to complex MS Transition Management delivery within an IT environment
Proven skills in Project and Transition Management
Experience in communication and negotiation to senior-management level
Ability to interpret, deconstruct and contribute to contractual collateral.
Excellent presentation and organisation skills
Highly analytical and data orientated.
Ability to construct plans and schedules within a framework.
Professional manner demonstrating discretion and confidentiality.
Working knowledge of Project Management/governance methodologies
Demonstrate strategic thinking by being able to look ahead and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
Show credibility by maintaining a calm persona whilst driving hard to get things done.
Be determined but adaptable to achieve results
Strong business and commercial focus
Ability to think tactically with an understanding of the operations of a service delivery and operations business.
Excellent client service orientation
The ability to balance delivery with agreed and contracted expectations.
High level of attention to detail
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Information Technology
Internationally recognised Project Management or Programme Management and/or ITIL Certification
Certification in Safe / Agile methodology
Required experience:
Required demonstrated experience in services transitioning
Required demonstrated track record of completing successful transitions into a multi-tier delivery organisation.
