Our client is seeking a Senior Sensory Evaluation Technician for a 12+ month contract in Irving, TX. Will be working on an Onsite schedule. Will support the Fresh Foods Product Development Team by ensuring sensory panels (both employee and external consumer) are executed with excellence.
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in food science/nutrition/culinary sciences but will consider experience in lieu of education.
Experience in sensory testing with an attention to detail, proven organizational and teamwork skills and an aptitude to learn.
Proficient at Microsoft (Word, Excel, Teams etc.) products as well as a quick learner for other software programs.
Ability to work in teams, change gears quickly, multitask, attention to detail and communicate effectively.
What You Will Be Doing
Working with the product developer, understand testing objectives and ensure request is captured within the Red Jade sensory software.
Panelist recruiting using Red Jade software, including screening survey and setting termination conditions.
Panel prep – creating and confirming panel surveys, ensuring developers are on track with products.
Executing the panel – Serving and troubleshooting if issues arise.
Downloading, cleaning, and organizing data for analysis.
On occasion, flexibility in working hours is required for evening testing.
Aid in other test kitchen responsibilities if time permits.
No overtime permitted.
