Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an onsite Senior Test Software Engineer to join our Multi-Functional RF Test Solutions (MFRFTS) –Test Software team in Dallas, Texas. The Specialty Engineering organization drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across all Raytheon product lines and functions. The Multi-Functional RF Test Solutions department is responsible for full-scope Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products, including architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of both module and integrated system verification solutions.
The Senior Test Software Engineer will be responsible for the design development, integration and validation of antenna test range hardware and software solutions for multiple production programs.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
Work with hardware, software, and program engineers to design and develop hardware and software solutions for production testing
Implement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget
Implement best practice standards regarding the planning, coordination, and execution of design activities with sound engineering process discipline and leadership
Effectively communicate technical information in formal design review settings
Provide hands on support to product testing within an engineering test environment
Share knowledge with other engineers on the MFRFTS Test Software team
Support the Section Manager in the execution of the MFRFTS department goals
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Experience with LabWindows /CVI, National Instruments (NI) TestStand, and NI LabView
Experience with RF testing, including Device Under Test (DUT) control, measurement techniques, and software development
Experience in programming RF Measurement equipment including Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Supplies, Sources, etc.
Experience with Synergy and Configuration Management Processes
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
Experience in migration of Configuration Management tools
Experience in Visual Studio, C#, Visual Basic, and Python
Experience in authoring Software Development Plans (SDP), Test Requirement Documents (TRDs), Validation Test Procedures (VTPs), etc.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
