Description:
As a Structural Engineer II, you will be generating and translating structural systems into final solutions for various project building types as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
This role entails supporting the structural engineering discipline by designing and developing structural systems, including performing structural analysis and designing task and modeling assignments for various project building types, sizes and materials as well as the delivery portions of project work ranging from conception design to final construction documentation within the established design principles, project budget and schedule.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Support the overall design intent of the project established by Performance Based Design is incorporated into the detailed documentation.
Provide expertise in the technical aspects of the structural design including code compliance, specifications, systems integration and constructability.
Resolve technical issues, work with other disciplines, and meet aggressive schedules and budgets.
Work with Sr Structural Engineer toward quality assurance and quality control measures for all projects.
Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with all various internal and external disciplines.
Mentor the work of less experienced staff.
Work closely with team members contributing and soliciting ideas while assisting in the completion of projects on aggressive schedules.
Carefully review work for accuracy before submitting to others for final review.
Regularly communicate with Project Manager(s), Project Designer(s) and/or Project Architects(s) to understand any changes to project design, scope, schedule and budget.
Use design software/technology, including Revit, AutoCAD, RAM and other emerging technologies, for presentation and production purposes
Will mainly focus on Healthcare & Industrial projects. Hybrid work schedule, and might consist of occasional travel to project job sites when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure.
Your Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with current license. NCEES registration and NSPE membership preferred. CSI-CDT certification preferred (and training provided). LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience with a wide variety of project types.
Strong knowledge and experience in the following:
Independently performing structural analysis and designing task and modeling assignments for various project building types, sizes and materials as well as the delivery portions of project work ranging from conception design to final construction documentation.
Producing of construction drawings and specifications.
Executing the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes.
Staying abreast of structural standards and regulations for a variety of materials in a variety of jurisdictions, and experience researching and applying/incorporating into technical documents.
Coordinating and integrating work with architects, designers, engineers, construction administrators, consultants, authorities having jurisdiction, and other members of a project team.
Prioritizing and managing multiple projects of complex nature while working professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Thriving in a deadline-driven, client service setting with experienced and less experienced staff.
Strong knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD required.
Experience using RISA or RAM Elements preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook required. Experience in Project, SharePoint, and Teams preferred.
Masters preferred
Experience supporting Healthcare and/or Industrial projects preferred.
