　　General Summary:

　　We are looking for a talented, motivated and experienced Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in Linux/Android frameworks. This role includes research and analysis of SW solutions for next generation IoT products. Develop HW/SW prototypes and proof of concepts to evaluate incremental as well as radical new architectures. Develop SW components that span across various operating systems such as Android, Linux, and RTOS based SW frameworks.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

　　OR

　　Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

　　OR

　　PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

　　• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

　　· 1-5 years of industry experience developing embedded SW using C/C+· Solid understanding of object oriented programming and data structures

　　· At least 2 years of experience working with embedded Linux and/or Android

　　· Experience in multithreaded programming, networking and/or RPC protocol development

　　· ARM processors and/or embedded software development on mobile devices.

　　· Debugging skills, experience with Linux kernel debug tools and JTAG

　　· Experience using git for development; patch/tree management

　　· Android frameworks development experience is a plus

　　· Experience working with Wearables, power, performance optimization for small form factors is a plus

　　· Familiarity with open-source frameworks (gstreamer, pulseaudio, wayland/weston, etc)

　　· Working experience in board bring up and analyzing crash dumps

　　· User mode or kernel mode device driver experience

　　$121,000.00 - $181,000.00

　　The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
