　　Job Description

　　Manages, plans, organizes and coordinates the 24x7 Security staff and operations of multiple facilities. Ensures the protection and safeguarding of hospital property, personnel, patients and visitors; participates in administering the Performance Improvement Program. Supervises and evaluates the performance of staff.

　　Job Responsibility

　　Provides leadership to Security team members, supervisors, and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.

　　Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.

　　Oversees Security management, staff, and operations to ensure detection and prevention of crime; enforces the policies of the hospital and provides emergency coverage when necessary.

　　Monitors use and maintenance of equipment, and ensures availability of necessary supplies and equipment for the safe and efficient delivery of services.

　　Participates in establishing goals, objectives, and solutions to ensure efficient operation of the Security and Parking Operations.

　　Implements programs to achieve goals, and maintains budgetary compliance.

　　Provides crisis management direction to security staff.

　　Guides the staff in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating department services as evidenced by positive service, quality and cost outcomes including the appropriate reporting.

　　Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.

　　Manages and distributes work assignments and staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage at all times.

　　Participates in the development of a strategic plan for the successful future of security operations.

　　Job Qualification

　　Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

　　Current License to practice as a Security Guard in New York State, or Current License to practice as an Armed Security Guard in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

　　6-10 years of relevant experience and 5-7 years of leadership / management experience, required.

　　The salary range for this position is $66,220-$108,180/year
