Major/Essential Functions:
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will design and produce print publications, print and digital advertisements, social media graphics, and multimedia design projects. These design projects include but are not limited to, Texas Tech University campaigns, campus-driven communications, collateral for the Office of the President, and priority communications on behalf of the Texas Tech Office of Communications and Marketing. You will work directly with other designers, departments, and OCM team members. The ideal candidate possesses a strong conceptual ability and solid design fundamentals, ensuring that the resulting creative is on time, within brand standards, compelling, and aligns with marketing strategies and objectives.
Design and production of print publications; print and digital advertisements; social media graphics, and multimedia design assets.
Ensure quality and accuracy of work. Including producing proof copies for review, and revising materials according to feedback while consistently meet stated project deadlines.
Actively participate in creative brief meetings including brainstorming sessions and critiques. Bring strong ideas and concepts to creative meetings.
Ensure university-approved branding guidelines are utilized in all projects.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Ability to work with clients
Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to multi-task while still adhering to design principles
Portfolio showcasing professional graphic design work
Awareness of current trends in the visual arts; working knowledge of the latest design aesthetics
An understanding of material costs and time limits.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite-including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Experience designing for print and digital platforms
Experience editing photography
Design and production experience
Experience working with print and design vendors.
Plan and organize effectively, prioritize goals, use time efficiently, stay on task, meet deadlines.
Deliver clear written and verbal communications to aid in team communications,
Establish and maintain effective work relationships.
