Responsibilities
Observe and report suspicious activities or behavior
Respond to alarms and security related incidents
Report and document all accidents incidents suspicious activities safety/ fire hazards and other security related situations
Investigate security breaches and conduct follow-up investigations
Provide assistance to all visitors
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) months experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting prior law enforcement public safety/first responder or military service; or one (1) year experience as a security officer or any comparable experience.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent; or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer.
Average to advanced computer skills with Google and/or Microsoft applications.
Workplace violence and self defense training annually.
Current valid AZ driver's license with DMV report on file or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers within 90 days of hire.
Must be able to speak English communicate clearly orally and in writing; understand and use de-escalation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of college level education courses in criminal justice.
One year experience as Security Officer in a hospital or healthcare setting prior law enforcement public safety/first responder or military service.
Pay Range
$18.00 - $20.38 /hour
