JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary DetailsTime Type: Full time Worker Type:Employee The Opportunity Reporting to regional team leads, the SecurityAnalyst will be a key member of our rapidly growing Global SecurityOperations team. This is an exciting hands-on technical role in whichthe analyst will use their security skills & knowledge to classify,analyze, prioritize and remediate security alerts/events of interestthat have been triaged and escalated by Tier 1 Security Analysts. Thefocus is to provide effective and proactive response to cybersecurity-related incidents and enquiries to better protect QBE\'s assetsand services. In addition, the roles will advise business stakeholdersin the event of a security incident, and support incident management andescalation processes into the appropriate incident management teams.Primary Responsibilities *Use security tools and resources to correlatesuspicious events, providing context around the event, determine rootcause and provide regular updates and recommend modifications toexisting systems and procedures. *Perform deep-dive incident analysisof various data sources by analyzing and investigating security relatedlogs against short and medium-term threats and IOCs *Providerecommendations for updates to IR handling processes and procedures.*Execute threat hunting activities using various proprietary and opensource tools to identify current and emerging threats and risks to QBE.*Perform identification and collection of cyber threats using proactiveand reactive threat hunting methods. *Execute vulnerability and webapplication assessments; provide analysis and recommendations tomitigate potential threats. *Proactively analyze threats to QBE\'ssystems, assets and business operations and provide recommendations formitigating controls and/or remediation. *Exposure to be involved insecurity design/architecture for new security applications and improvingthe current security posture globally for QBE. Knowledge, Skills &Experience: *2-3 years relevant security experience performing similarduties working in a Security Operation Center. *Advanced understandingof tools, techniques and procedures that modern attackers use tocompromise organizations. * Ability to communicate effectively andupdate senior stakeholders globally. * Ability to establish & maintainstrong relationships with global security operations colleagues andother departments, including network teams and incident...
