Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Engineer to work in one of thefollowing offices: Austin TX, Jackson MI, Muscatine IA, Denver CO. Thequalified applicant must have a background in SCADA and Communications designfor Substation Utility or Generation clients. Technical responsibilities willinclude the design of any/all of the following: SCADA and Communicationssystems including RTUs, RTACs, HMIs and IEDs; computermodeling/analysis of electrical systems; preparation of specifications forequipment and systems; report preparation; applying codes and standardsand performing and reviewing design computations.Essential Duties:Detailed design of SCADA and Communications systems for high voltagesubstations including generating single lines, schematics, points listsand configuration files for RTUs, RTACs, HMIs, IEDs and othercommunications systems componentsDesign of SCADA interfaces with Protection and Control designs including panelwiring, AC/DC schematics, and Control building and relay panel layoutsCoordination with other disciplines as neededPerforming site visits for gathering data, site acceptance and commissioningsupportWriting material procurement and construction specifications & evaluatingcontractor bidsFamiliar with NERC SIP regulatory requirementsProtective relay coordination and settings experience preferredReviewing shop drawingsResearching equipment and client standardsPerforms typical calculations such as equipment and conductor sizing,voltage drop and battery sizingGenerating engineering fee estimatesProviding field support during constructionMentors and teaches less experienced engineers and design staffOccasional overnight travel may be required for client meetings and or sitevisitsRequired skills, education and experience:BSEE from and ABET accredited University15+ years of protection and control design experienceExperience working directly with clients, supporting marketingproposals/efforts preferredExperience managing a design budget and schedule preferredMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsPE license or ability to obtain a PE license within 6 mos. of hire stronglypreferredSalary Range: Base Compensation: $72,200-$94,600
