  Safety Coordinator

  The Safety Coordinator plays a pivotal role in proactively supporting and enhancing the overall safety landscape of the organization. Tasked with implementing safety strategies, this position focuses on minimizing risks, promoting associate well-being, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Safety Coordinator collaborates across departments, ensuring compliance with safety standards and driving initiatives that elevate the overall safety performance of the company.

  Partner with Safety Manager in the development and execution of safety programs, policies, and procedures.

  Coordinate internal and external communications for collection of responsive documentation for regulatory reports, responses and investigations including OSHA.

  Support organizational needs for safety regulatory compliance.

  Administer and verify safety documents and associated tasks for OSHA compliance.

  Support recordkeeping and training team support.

  Draft safety communications and website content.

  Communicate with cross-functional teams to deliver safety records and regulatory responses

  Organize safety meetings and routine safety messaging.

  Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Outlook, & web browsers

  Basic understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and industry-specific safety requirements

  Exceptional communication and training skills to effectively convey safety information and instill a safety-oriented mindset

  Proven ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions

  Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage safety documentation and reporting

  Innovative thinking to introduce and integrate new safety technologies and methodologies

  Team player with the leadership qualities to drive a culture of safety excellence

  Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities to meet assigned deadlines

  Strong written and oral communication skills

  Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment

  Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment

  Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines

  Excellent organization, time management and reporting skills a must

  Ability to perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate

  Responsibilities

  The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.

  Position Summary

  The Project Coordinator provides support to the ARTS and Retail teams with planning and execution of projects, initiatives relating to deployment of wireless handhelds/tablets, and update Retail technology systems to include: mobile CRM, supporting database systems, CRM reporting, and BI dashboards. Responsible for cultivating lines of communication and coordinate the completion of project activities primarily between the ARTS, Retail, and IT departments.

  Job Duties and Responsibilities

  Facilitate project update meetings and workshops including note taking, identifying risks, and documenting action items during all phases of projects

  Assist with the planning and execution of projects including creating project plans

  Follow-up with project team members regarding open activities, action items, and coordinate the hand-off of deliverables between project team members

  Prepare project status reports

  This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

  Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job

  Minimum Qualifications

  Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  (Preferred): Membership and involvement in local PMI Chapter preferred

  CPG or Retail industry experience preferred

  Experience with deploying wireless handheld, tablet, or slate technology preferred

  Prior experience managing small-to-medium size projects up to 150 tasks preferably using MS Project or similar project tool

  Prior experience coordinating activities for managing small project teams

  Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  Organized, logical, and detailed oriented with excellent documentation skills

  Excellent oral and written communication

  Flexible and adaptable to playing various meeting roles

  Ability to follow through, complete assignments, and achieve desired results

  Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers and management

  Executes verbal and written business communications,in a manner that effectively achieves business objective

  Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project toolProficient in Microsoft Office Suite – spreadsheets, word processing, presentation development

  Environmental & Physical Requirements

  Office / Sedentary Requirements

  Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
