As a Rods/Bundles Manufacturing Technician Trainee in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:HRR Rods Fabrication - loading pellets into Rods, welding of end caps, rod inspection.HRR Bundles Fabrication - where rods are loaded into bundles, bundles are inspected, and bundles are packed into shipping containers.Duties will vary according to the specific area to which employee is assigned; however, all assignments involve training to gain knowledge of applicable Standard Operating Procedures, Process Specifications, and Quality Control Standards. Must be willing to work around chemicals. Must be willing to work shift rotation. Will be asked to work around radiation. Duties could include:Basic parts preparation per SWIs/SOPs.Performs basic assembly and fabrication operations.May utilize scales, calipers, cutters, crimp tools, inspection tools and various other small hand tools in the daily operation of job.Accurately enter/scan completed production data into system.Set up and perform the most common or routine dimensional and visual inspections in an assigned area.Moves material and product in the work area by proper handling method.Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly.May assist with minor equipment maintenance, repair and inspection, following detailed procedures, and report defects to supervision.During lull periods of production, may be required to work in other cost centers.
