*Job Summary: * The RN performs under the Nursing Supervisor/Patient Care Manager and is accountable to the Director of Nursing. The RN demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and  possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed.    

　　Performance Expectations:Demonstrate technical aptitude in the proper use and operation of equipment you are assigned including but not limited to telemetry monitors, woundvac, IV infusion pumps, accucheck and defibrillator.Demonstrate ability to tolerate physically demanding tasks of moving equipment and patients utilizing safety measures for both yourself and/or the patient.Demonstrate ability to complete thorough physical assessment of patients.Demonstrate ability in competency of central line care, IV insertion/care and blood transfusions.Demonstrate the ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.Demonstrate skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients/families and visitors. Education/Skills:Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program required.  Work Experience:One year medical/surgical nursing care preferred, but not required.   * *Certification/Licensure:Must hold a current license to practice professional nursing in state of Mississippi
