About Risk Consulting - Associate Director - Risk Advisory

  Aon is looking for a Consultant in our Risk Advisory Group – Associate Director Level

  As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Strategic Risk Advisory service offering within Aon Global Risk Consulting. As an Associate Director, Risk Advisory, you will report directly to the Risk Advisory Services Leader in the United States Aon Global Risk Consulting group.

  Aon Global Risk Consulting provides integrated solutions to help clients understand and improve their risk profile to increase profitability and protect their interests.

  The Associate Director serves as a project leader on accounts, as well as supporting the other colleagues in the team on larger projects. The Associate Director will be expected to: lead and perform work on engagements, present report findings to clients, form relationships with Aon account executives and producers, prepare and present proposals in response to RFP’s, and coach clients on implementing recommendations. The Associate Director will also be expected to develop a specific area of knowledge and become a recognized subject matter expert in that area.

  The position requires an expert in Risk Advisory consulting (including emerging risks such as Reputation Risk, Climate Risk, Supply Chain and Cyber Risk) with a strong appreciation of risk transfer and analytics to advise clients on complex issues and to gain the confidence of both clients and the Aon network.

  The Risk Advisory team is part of a global Aon Global Risk Consulting business, and the Associate Director will be expected to work with colleagues to develop and deliver AGRC’s suite of Strategic Risk Advisory solutions.

  Your Impact As An Associate Director, Risk Advisory

  Job Responsibilities:

  Serve as project and engagement leader for Strategic Risk Advisory and Enterprise Risk Management.

  Build and maintain effective relationships with Aon teams and clients.

  Identify and build relationships with Aon account executives and producers, securing advisory proposal opportunities.

  Deliver engagements on time and within budget.

  Create and improve methodology, products, and operational procedures.

  Ensure that the Aon work product is of high quality, adheres to all relevant AGRC standards of practice and is provided in a timely manner.

  Prepare and present proposals in response to RFPs.

  Handle multiple work assignments, flexibly balancing priorities, to meet or exceed the expectations of our clients.

  Present various reports to clients, lead the discussion toward proper fulfillment of client’s needs.

  Anticipate client questions and prepare appropriate responses.

  Assist in the overall team effort for knowledge and best practices to be disseminated throughout the practice.

  Develop a specific area of knowledge and become a recognized subject matter expert.

  You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

  Required Experience:

  Minimum 7-10 years relevant work experience in Enterprise Risk Management or related field.

  Solid understanding of technology tools for enterprise risk management, technology applications and data visualization.

  Detailed knowledge of best practice frameworks, such as COSO and ISO 31000.

  Consistent track record to lead multiple concurrent priorities.

  Strong understanding of the risk consulting business.

  Ability to write custom reports for risk consulting projects that clearly communicate findings and methodologies with minimal management supervision.

  Commitment to client service and business ethics.

  Education:

  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent

  The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $145,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

  This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
