Job Description
With this internship you will join RF and Mixed Signal Circuits Lab within Intel Labs. You will work on research related to novel circuits and architectures for next generation radio transceiver integrated in deeply scaled CMOS technologies.
Responsibilities may include:
Research in circuits, architectures, and design of transceiver blocks, subsystems, or full systems.
Evaluation of multiple architecture options under given power/performance constraints for new usage enabling innovative, energy efficient SoCs.
Developing silicon prototypes and leading/contributing to test-chips including design, verification, modeling, post-Si validation.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your work experience, graduate school, post-doc research and/or relevant internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with skills in RFIC design.
6+ months experience in below areas:
At least one test-chip designed and taped-out during graduate career.
Good knowledge of communication system theory and RF/analog signal processing
Knowledge of high-level RF/analog radio transceiver modeling tools like MATLAB and circuit design and validation tools such as Cadence Spectre
Preferred Qualifications:
Lab experience with wafer probing and RF test techniques
Experience on PCB design, on-chip/on-package matching networks design

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
