Description
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides programs and services for children and adolescents who face significant emotional, behavioral challenges. Located in Orlando, FL, this dual position will be responsible for assisting our residential food services program as well as provides services as a Direct Support Professional.
Food Services Support (3 days per week):
Prepares and serves food in accordance with established menus
Monitors the use of food and prepares additional quantities as needed
Properly stores dietary supplies according to department procedures
Note any safety issues which will require immediate notification of Program Coordinator
Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care.
Direct Support Professional (2 days per week):
Supporting a therapeutic environment, while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals we serve.
Conducting daily living activities, including health & hygiene management, cooking, cleaning, and recreation
Following and implementing behavioral support plans
Documenting shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (1st shift)
Sunday : 6am-2pm
Monday : 6am-2pm
Tuesday : 7am-3pm
Wednesday : 6am-2pm
Thursday : 7am-3pm
Salary: This position starts at $17.20 / hour

Qualifications
EDUCATION : High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred. Must be able to read at 12th grade level.
EXPERIENCE: At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting preferred. Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull
and reach above shoulders.
Schedule:
Must be able to complete atwo-week(Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientations are offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.Other Requirements:
Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, and TB Test.
Valid driver's license
