Occasional night and weekend for experiments.Job SummaryThe laboratory of Dr. Ashlan Kunz Coyne in the College of Pharmacy is seeking a Research Analyst.The Research Analyst will perform research experiments including antimicrobial susceptibility testing, media preparation, in vitro time kill analyses, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic model preparation and maintenance, molecular evaluations including PCR, RT-PCR, and sequencing, HPLC/LCMS, biological assays. They will maintain/update electronic records and cataloging of all lab bacterial isolates, susceptibility and molecular results for ongoing projects involving phenotypic screening, susceptibility and molecular testing of clinical bacterial isolates.The Research Analyst will maintain an accurate, detailed, up-to-date electronic laboratory notebook to support publications. Independently analyze, prepare, and communicate data and analysis in the appropriate context for internal and external bacterial and antibiotic evaluations. Oversee the extraction of data and needed information from laboratory notebooks and convert the information to a written description suitable for the Experimental section of publications and patent applications.They will also assist with the ordering/accounting and tracking of all laboratory supplies and equipment including the maintenance of equipment for the lab.Please note: University of Kentucky uses qualifying equivalencies when determining applicant eligibility for meeting minimum job requirements.
