JOB SUMMARY:
Manage & Track Fleet adds for Cat and Allied Products to meet market demands.
Monitor and control rental fleet costs from a repair and maintenance standpoint.
Work to meet Rental Divisions business plan, as well as meeting variable expense guidelines as determined by the budget.
Asset Manager will monitor rental fleet utilization, along with GM HR & Used to develop schedules to dispose of the rental fleet. This will be done monthly.
Work with GM HR & Used Manager to price units based on market.
Will work with GM HR & Used for agreement to sell or additional time in the fleet.
Asset Manager will work with Product Support personnel to improve repair processes and expense control.
The asset manager will attend all forecasting and pricing meetings.
Responsible for assisting with the annual forecast, budget, and long-range planning.
Is responsible for adding new products and offerings to the rental fleet.
Analyzes needs and establishes development and training programs on rental products.
Works with CAT District Representatives to achieve 100% of business PINS objectives.
Maintains relationships with Allied product vendors.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or four to six years’ related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the rental industry or equivalent experience in a closely related industry. Some closely related industries would include construction, engineering, and equipment distribution and sales. Previous business or sales management experience is preferred.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and DBS.
Equipment/product knowledge (application, service). Working knowledge (overview)/support of all key rental positions. Technical proficiency. Knowledge and understanding of the equipment need necessary for a rental fleet, as well as a working knowledge of the operations, sales, service, and systems. Must be a leader with great people skills, an enthusiastic personality, a proven communicator, and the ability to work with various departments. Good customer relations and strong team-building skills are essential along with business management experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
