Renewables Intern (May 2024)

　　WEC Energy Group is seeking a year-round Renewables Internship starting May 2024. This position can be located within a reasonable drive to any of our WEC Energy Group locations in WI, IL, IA, SD, NE, and KS, depending on experience. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office.

　　Job Summary

　　We employ students for summer and year-round opportunities to help design creative cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. WEC Energy Group offers a variety of engineering opportunities for students seeking hands-on experience that are currently enrolled in a four-year degree program. Below is an overview of functional areas where we typically have students. Students work with experienced members of these functional teams.

　　Job Responsibilities

　　Assist with validation, cleansing, and organization of fleet data in Amazon Web Service

　　Support Wind and Solar projects operational performance and optimization.

　　Perform ad hoc investigations of emergent equipment issues.

　　Use available data to investigate performance or reliability issues within the wind and solar fleets.

　　Provide general engineering support to PG-Renewables group

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　High School Diploma, HSED, or GED

　　Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree

　　Minimum GPA of 2.8

　　Valid Driver's License

　　End Date: 03/15/2024
