What is the job about?
Grundfos Pumps Manufacturing is looking for a Quality Manager for our Industry (IND) Americas team.
As a Quality Manager, you will represent the IND Region Americas with a focus on end-to-end quality. You will ensure the effective management of operational, tactical, and strategic tasks and initiatives pertaining to IND Quality.
You will guide and exemplify cross-functional teamwork through the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle to meet Total Quality requirements, ensuring the delivery of qualified products to the market.
Take charge of customer complaints, ensuring swift and professional resolution to safeguard customer satisfaction. Effectively maintain customer relations, implementing both reactive and proactive initiatives to uphold product quality standards.
This position reports directly to the Quality Director for IND and will work remotely out of Fresno, CA or Brookshire, TX offices.
Your main responsibilities :
Customer Integration and Centricity:
Actively participate in and coordinaTE key customer meetings, supporting the Sales team in advancing the Quality agenda.
Conduct key customer visits and provide support during customer audits, promoting continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
Internalize and communicate the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to instigate improvements.
Monitor Customer Quality Performance in the IND Americas region, ensuring progress on top initiatives by analyzing trends, Pareto charts, and taking necessary actions.
Coordinate and communicate progress with relevant stakeholders from plants and other functions.
Facilitate Risk Evaluations as needed to ensure the satisfaction and safety of our customers.
Act as the representative for customers in addressing major Quality issues.
Internal and external communication regarding significant Quality incidents.
Ensure Quality initiatives are implemented for the top 20 customers through frequent dialogues.
Track the performance of the top 50 customers.
Monitor and take action based on market feedback, encompassing Data Governance, FAS codes governance, System Maintenance, Reporting, Training, Monitoring of Warranty Rate, Warranty Actions, and processes for Warranty Chain Governance, FAS, and Continuous Improvement.
Manufacturing Quality Governance and Support:
Facilitate the annual target-setting process for local plants and assemblies.
Ensure swift and professional handling of escalation cases (Red Alerts) in plants, local assemblies, Distribution Centers (DCs), and sales regions.
Support quality development/improvement in GPS (Grundfos production system) with plant, local assemblies.
Best Practice Sharing and Lessons Learned Promotion:
Drive lessons learned and collaboration across plants, local assemblies, and DCs in the region.
Share best practices and promote continuous improvement.
Closely work with supplier quality function to monitor and improve local supplier quality.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of Professional experience in Quality management.
Process management (Including knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO15504).
Technical background in similar industry.
Knowledge of audit-at least skilled level.
Cultural understanding, networking, and efficient communication
Project management experience.
Travelling is required (50%), frequent visits to Customers, Plants, Assembly sites and DC´s in region.
Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.
The pay range for this position for candidates in California is $107,326 to $150,483. Actual pay will depend upon skill set, experience, and location.
Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Fresno, CA. The pay range for Brookshire, TX may be different.
