Job Description
One of our large chemical manufacturing clients is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their growing team in Philadelphia, PA! This role is responsible for using electronic and mechanical instrumentation, using wet method analysis, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
* Calibrates and maintains laboratory instruments
* Performs in-process and final product analysis
* Maintains quality control records
* Performs analysis on incoming raw materials and finished products
* Reports out of specification material to the production department
* Packages retained samples, maintain samples in approved storage areas
* Performs non-routine analysis as required
* Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements
* Associates degree minimum (Chemistry degree preferred)
* Minimum 1-year chemical laboratory experience * Operating knowledge in electronic laboratory instrumentation.
* Knowledge of chemical test methods.
* 1-3 years' experience utilizing wet chemistry techniques and ICP spectrophotometer.
* Computer literate with advanced writing skills. null
