What you'll do:
Eaton MEDC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to work within its communications business. This role will benefit from a multi-cultural project manager who is able to add value through collaboration, coordination of resources for flawless execution of projects in rapidly changing environment.
This is a varied and exciting role for the potential candidate who drives KPI's for exceptional customer service, engineering excellence and enjoys working in varied and fast paced international business. Responsible for defining, improving and transforming the project execution team structure within Eaton MEDC.
To review and align the current project execution teams across the HAC communications platform.
Define current and future standards of service levels pre and post-delivery.
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and use relevant verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Perform risk management to minimize project risk & completion
Create internal and intra company process and guidelines for project execution ensuring correct handover between customer / sales and project execution.
Ownership of the value stream for all communication products in line with Eaton Business standards
Define, monitor and measure KPI indicators such as (on time delivery, on budget, resource utilization, change order optimization, project success, margin forecasting)
Managing system manufacture projects from £30K up to £500K, lasting from 8 weeks through to 12 months.
Create a cross functional project execution team to cover all communication products.
Ensure that the project support structure is in place for current and planned business growth.

Ensure profitable ongoing business with regular project margin / costs reviews.
Management of client / project through to satisfactory conclusion.
Responsible for three business communication projects globally from design to client handover.
Provide professional interfaces to key stakeholders : Global product manager, product line managers, Manufacturing sites, bids and proposals and sales teams.
Skills and Qualifications
Degree qualified preferred with relevant professional project management certification or equivalent working experience.
Demonstrable experience in restructuring and defining teams to set directional strategy.
Strong people management style
Proven experience in setting process and monitoring for future improvement opportunities.
Prior experience of managing overseas teams within a matrix organization.
Prior exposure to systems engineering business (oil, gas or marine exposure is preferred but not essential).
Demonstrate the highest level of customer focus and setting the highest levels of expectation within the teams to meet and exceed corporate plans.
Strong financial and contract management awareness.
Strategic, business mind to plan future improvement strategy and execute.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of project lifecycle and processes.
A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organisational awareness.
Ability to impact and influence fellow workers.
Strong PC literacy (MS word, Excel, Power point).
Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity whilst working within diverse environments.
