As-built existing systems, plan and prepare construction documents, including layouts, sketches, and drawings involving a high degree of difficulty and complexity under the technical guidance and engineering leadership. Performs diverse tasks and leadership assignments primarily engaged in preparing and checking construction documents associated with the facilities project including mechanical, and electrical systems. Ensures conformance with engineering direction, specifications, design criteria, and design standards in all work performed. Review the design documents of peers to ensure that designs are technically complete and that all affected design database documentation has been properly revised. Oversees and develops project schedules, budget, and scope of work, and communicates with design team, stakeholders, and vendors. Establishes and maintains working interfaces with design teams in other disciplines and with other organizations to foster cooperation and team building, and to ensure that customer/supplier alignments are established and maintained.Requirements:An associate degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and three years of highly technical design experience are sufficient to provide design knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, structure, and construction documentation, design, and control standards and regulations. 8+ years of design experience in commercial projects. Minimum of 8+ years' experience in the preparation of construction documents in AutoCAD. Proficiency in both Instrument and Controls and Electrical design specifically at commercial nuclear power plants. 8+ Years in related fields. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability for writing clearly and understandably. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills and understanding of the design process. Highly organized with superb attention to detail Creating designs using AutoCAD. Create edit and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings and designs using AutoCAD. Basic knowledge of the applicable building codes. Working knowledge of interfacing disciplines including facilities maintenance and operations, regulations and standards controlling design and documentation, task estimating, and scheduling techniques.
