Job Title: Program Protection Planning Specialist
Location: El Segundo, CA
Canvas, Inc. is seeking a Program Protection Planning Specialist! In this role, you will provide direct Program Protection Planning and Supply Chain Risk Management support for all directorate Mission Information Systems under development and production through Milestone Decision Authority stages. Additionally, you will also monitor security programs, protocols, and guides in the secure operations of enterprise networks, systems, and critical mission data.
Duties:
Participate in Air Force-level Inspections, including the Air Force Inspector General, Higher Quarters Air Force Space Command Inspector General Inspection, Air Force Audit Agency Inspections, Space and Missile Systems Center Integrated Program Reviews, and all COMSEC inspections
Act as the Block III Equipment Custodian for GPS and supporting GFE requirements for supporting contracts.
Act as the Secure Voice Responsible Officer (SVRO) for the GPS Directorate setting up and managing OMNIs, Vipers, and STEs
Interface with the 61st CS-Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Manger for delivery, transfer, and destruction of GPS key
Program Protection Planning duties to include, but not limited to the following:
Develop and update the Program Protection Plan (PPP)
Coordinate and facilitate cross-directorate technical and administrative PPP meetings and working groups to accomplish updates, resolve comments, and staff the PPP for applicable signatures prior to external release for approval
Maintain version control of the approved PPP and coordinate delivery of the approved PPP and appendices to applicable stakeholders upon request
Develop and update the Counterintelligence Support Plan (CISP), Integrated Threat Assessment, and review the System Threat and Analysis Reports annually, provide written summaries, and incorporate threat changes and countermeasures into the PPP.
Review and update the Anti-Tamper Plan (ATP)
Review and update the Security Classification Guide (SCG)
Review and update the Technology Assessment and Control Plan (TA/CP)
Review and update the System Security Engineering Management Plan (SSEMP)
Review acquisition documents for compliance with Critical Program Information (CPI) and Critical Components protection requirements
Conduct regular contractor site visits to evaluate the design, implementation, and verification of system security
Produce and deliver technical security reports from Program Protection Surveys conducted at any contractor site evaluating Program Protection Implementation Plan (PPIP) compliance and effectiveness
Evaluate mission system change proposals e.g., Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Task Change Proposals (TCPs), Configuration Change Proposals (CCPs), waivers, and deviations, and provide security assessments. Evaluations shall address cost, schedule, performance, and interface impacts/risks, and meet change board documentation requirements and suspense dates
Develop, publish, and maintain a PPP matrix that identifies the status of the PPP, SCG, ATP, VOLT, ITA, SEMP, and TA/CP
Participate in Air Force-level Inspections, including the Air Force Inspector General, Higher Quarters Air Force Space Command Inspector General Inspection, Air Force Audit Agency Inspections, Space and Missile Systems Center Integrated Program Reviews
Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (4 years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree requirement)
3 - 7 Years' experience in Program Protection Planning or equivalent security fields
Experience working with Security Classification Guides
Familiarity with Risk Management Framework protocols desired
Familiarity with USSF A&A procedures desired
Security+ certification is highly desired
Minimum 3 years of experience performing similar job duties for USSF or another related DoD organization highly desired
Advanced-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook highly desired
Required Security Level: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
