The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating logistics of complex and multifaceted projects.
This position directly reports to the Department Administrator for Interventional Radiology with a dotted line to the Department Chair.
Summary
The program manager will provide leadership for the enactment and implementation of the planned strategy and initiatives for the Department of Interventional Radiology as they relate to the vision and mission of the department. The candidate is responsible for ensuring optimal execution of cross-functional project activities required to advance several avenues within the department. The candidate will work with key stakeholders and constituents to lead and execute the departmental aims from committee projects associated with the department. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading and participating in project management activities within the Department of Interventional Radiology and at the Institution-level as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Assume responsibility for the administrative management of the Interventional Radiology Leadership Council (IRLC) projects in the department as well as coordination with other committees and project leaders within the department. Manage the membership, meeting schedules and communication for various committees as assigned.
Maintain and facilitate department calendar and coordination of special events such as the Wallace Lecture Series.
Faculty Onboarding - Develop work plans to include schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Establish procedures and metrics for project outcomes.
Faculty Promotion and Tenure - Develop work plans to include schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Establish procedures and metrics for project outcomes Collaborate with departments and divisions throughout the institution to gather financial, operational and market information needed to facilitate and complete departmental projects in which IR leadership is involved. Provide summary reports and recommendations. Serves as a representative for departmental leadership as needed.
Faculty Mid-Cycle Review - Develop work plans to include schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Establish procedures and metrics for project outcomes Independently analyze issues, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
Listens, Learns, Acts Survey - Develop work plans to include schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Establish procedures and metrics for project outcomes.
Perform research and develop project plans and timelines based on new key issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Required education: Bachelor's degree.
Required experience: Five years related experience to include three years program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
