Description

　　The Engineering Science Division (ESD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Senior Engineer 2 to support engineering and scientific research, development, testing, studies, and related activities onsite in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. This position is contingent on contract award.

　　As a Senior Engineer, you will perform in-depth engineering analyses of security related systems to determine potential for further development, production, interface to other systems, and usefulness in the homeland security environment. Witness test performance; prepare test/program assessment reports; brief government staff on ongoing activities; interview government and non-government people to improve system engineering knowledge.

　　Required Experience and Skills:

　　Experience that demonstrates a professional knowledge of systems development and technology development. Professional knowledge is defined as the comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of systems engineering and advanced technology development.

　　Experience creating project life cycle work (planning, development, execution, termination).

　　Develop work breakdown structures, PERT/CPM critical path working knowledge, project budgets, and tracking of project activities.

　　Good leadership skills, and good written and oral communications skills.

　　Experience writing project documents with little or no supervision, including project plans, test plans and procedures, data analysis reports, and project final reports.

　　Experience with commercial project management software programs.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering and have at least 12 or more years of experience, or

　　Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering and have at least 6 or more years of experience; or

　　degree in a natural science (e.g. physics, chemistry, biology) from an accredited college or university.

　　Must be a US Citizen.

　　Requires Secret Security Clearance or higher and DHS Suitability.
