Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Product Analyst will support the Mallinckrodt Specialty Generics business by working close with the Commercial Team to assist with core business operations. This position will collaborate with Product Management Leadership to determine customer requirements and develop an action plan for meeting those needs. This position will also interface with National Accounts, Commercial Analytics, Supply Chain, and other groups to prepare for new product launches.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Manages daily allocation of inventory, working with sales, customer service and DC operations to ensure customers’ expectations are being met.
Develops and manages weekly reports to communicate insights from Demand Trends, Supply Plans and Forecast Accuracy.
Reviews and analyzes Customer inventory levels to identify opportunities and ensure adequate availability and works with short-dated product to determine path forward (donate, destroy, sell).
Ensures Customers, Sales, and Marketing are updated on supply disruptions, open PO delivery dates, backorder issues, backorder releases and inventory initiatives.
Manages weekly backorder reports to ensure that Customers, Sales, and Marketing have the most recent information and can plan accordingly: Failure to Supply, Allocations, and Market Notifications.
Independently perform in-depth analyses using market and pricing data to build robust assumptions and forecast inputs for sales and profitability targets on current products.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in Business, Finance, or other associated discipline preferred.
Experience:
1-2 years experience with a Generic pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Proven ability to understand and analyze business problems is required.
A working knowledge of the generic marketplace, including customers, supply chain and controlled substance a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office Required.
Preferred Skills/Competencies:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Experience with Industry Data (IQVIA, Symphony, etc.) a plus.
A working knowledge of all elements of the commercial function is highly desirable, including:
Market Data and Research
Budgeting and Forecasting
Quantitative analysis to develop and communicate insights
Ability to operate within cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, commercial, regulatory affairs, supply chain, etc.).
Ability to manage tight timelines and competing priorities is a must; project management skills are desirable.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE :
Reports to the Sr. Product Manager.
Interfaces with various functional areas both internal and external including Sales, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and External Customers.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Hybrid work schedule - 2 days in office/3 days remote
Minimal travel expected.
