This Position is for a General Production Manager - 2nd Shift with a company located in Forest.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork yields time and attendance discipline motivation turnover absenteeism safety problem solving etc. Accountable for areas of performance safety quality workers compensation turnover bid movement Team Member morale and other duties as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities: High school diploma or equivalent, or higher education preferred. 3 years of management experience preferred. Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification. Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors department production schedules product rotation CCP verification, schedules and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop and improve deficient areas. Some travel required as needed.
Education and Qualifications: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections. Must be able to navigate fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc. Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 45-60 degrees. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management. Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects.
