　　You will work across Medtronic business operations to advise on diverse issues including complex legal questions, commercial contracts, public procurement, competition law, product liability, medical device regulatory issues, data privacy. You will partner with the business and functions to provide strategic and practical solutions to support business growth and mitigate risks.

　　A Day in the Life

　　• Provide counsel to local management, operating units and functions concerning legal matters.

　　• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and non-commercial agreements and documents.

　　• Provide legal guidance and conduct training sessions on policies, procedures and legislation.

　　• Oversee and support the implementation of new legal processes and projects locally.

　　• Identify, anticipate and help mitigate key legal risks.

　　• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts / Centers of Expertise and Operating Unit lawyers to build consensus or resolve legal issues.

　　• Effectively manage relationships with outside counsels to maximize the quality of representation and minimize legal expenses.

　　Must Haves

　　• Professional qualifications as a lawyer under Belgian law

　　• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

　　• Excellent command of Dutch, French and English languages

　　• Unquestioned integrity and ethics in business and personal conduct

　　• Strong business acumen, analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills

　　• Good common sense and sound judgment

　　• Strong written and verbal communication skills

　　• Ability to work independently yet team-oriented

　　Nice to Haves

　　• Medical device industry experience strongly preferred, or equivalent experience working in a highly regulated environment
